Kolegij Medicinski engleski 5 je obvezni kolegij na petoj godini Integriranog preddiplomskog i diplomskog studija Medicine i sastoji se od 20 sati seminara (1 ECTS).
Cilj kolegija je razvijanje usmenih i pismenih kompetencija na engleskom jeziku kroz razumijevanje stručnih tekstova, usvajanje medicinske terminologije i samostalno izražavanje.
Sadržaj kolegija: Kritičko čitanje medicinskih tekstova uz popratne vježbe razumijevanja pročitanoga na naprednoj razini; nadogradnja vještina akademskog pisanja koristeći britanski i američki pravopis; prepoznavanje gramatički (ne)ispravnih rečenica; pisanje seminarskoga rada; individualni rad, rad u paru, istraživački rad. Napredak studenata kontinuirano će se pratiti kroz kraće kvizove, pismene zadatke i završni test. Studenti će dobiti konstruktivne individualne i grupne povratne informacije o svom napretku.
Kolegij se smatra položenim nakon predaje seminarskog rada (koji mora biti predan najkasnije u zadnjem tjednu nastave u kojem se kolegij izvodi) i završni test.
Ishodi učenja
Po završetku kolegija studenti će moći:
identificirati ključne ideje i specifične informacije iz stručnih i znanstvenih tekstova
razlikovati i primijeniti različite jezične registre (formalni/neformalni izraz)
prepoznati gramatičke i leksičke strukture tipične za medicinski jezik u govoru i pisanju
primijeniti usvojene gramatičke strukture i medicinsko nazivlje u pisanome i usmenome izražavanju

Studenti su obvezni redovito pohađati seminare, aktivno sudjelovati u nastavi, predati sve zadaće te položiti završni test.
Redovitim sudjelovanjem na seminarima, predanim zadaćama i uspješno položenim završnim studenti stječu 1 ECTS bod.
S ciljem poticanja akademske čestitosti, svi seminarski radovi provjerit će se u Turnitin sustavu za provjeru plagiranja i AI Content Detector software-u za provjeru AI generiranog sadržaja.
Nastavni materijali i sve obavijesti vezane uz održavanje kolegija bit će dostupni u sustavu Merlin kao i na Share Point portalu Katedre za društvene i humanističke znanosti u medicini.
